Grant to Montessori UA to support Montessori education in Ukraine

Montessori Ukraine United (MUU) is pleased to announce it has awarded a 16,000.00 euros grant to Montessori UA to support Montessori education in the regions of Mykolayiv, Kharkiv, Sumy, Chernigiv, and Dnipro in Ukraine.

The grant will provide scholarships at five Montessori schools for 70 children who are internally displaced, have lost a caregiver, or whose caregiver is absent due to the war with Russia.  It will also assist schools that are struggling to stay open by providing budget support for teachers’ salaries and rent costs.

The project includes educational sessions with parents on the Montessori method and mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS).  There will be regular evaluations to measure the effect of Montessori education on the well-being of students, teachers and families.  MUU will consider the outcomes to promote good practice and ensure the effectiveness of future grants.

Montessori UA (, whose mission is to help develop the potential of every individual and every family through the Montessori method, is the local implementing partner of this grant.
